For a million smiles....

Living for a purpose, standing up for a cause, showing solidarity to some one in need.. yes it is happening around!! While minting money with their entrepreneurial flare they are transforming the lives of millions around and are being the reasons for a million smiles. It is much heartening to see the young India taking to 'Social Entrepreneurship' fostering the evidence for the existence of the much talked about 'Inclusive Capitalism'. Capitalism and Inclusiveness.. an odd match indeed :)

Got lost in two excellent books. One by arguably the greatest Management thinker of modern times,C.K.Prahlad. 'The Fortune At The Bottom Of The Pyramid' and another by Rashmi Bansal - 'I have a dream. C.K.Prahlad had  been the inspiration behind the 'Go Rural' strategy of many corporations. He speaks volumes on sustainable business models which can be modeled in Rural India with innovations in both product and process coupled with a scale-able  business model.

Rashmi Bansal's 'I have a dream' revolves around some paradigm trends in social entrepreneurship beginning with Sulabh International, the iconic sanitation programme founded by Padmabushan Bindheshwar Pathak.
These ventures while avoiding the frantic run behind profits  provide a platform for those millions of underprivileged to come up to the main stream and lead a dignified life.

Hats off to them..  Lets hope still many among us will take the role of  volunteers of nation building in due course of becoming promising entrepreneurs. Tats all for now...
